What you have to look forward to on a Saltwater RYA Powerboat 2 Course

This is a record of the practical morning exercise for Day 2 of our RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course filmed in May 2012.

The students had covered the theoretical passage planning side of the RYA syllabus on the previous afternoon. The weather and sea conditions were perfect the next day to allow the students to thoroughly enjoy translating theory into practice by executing a safe passage from Christchurch to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.

After a short coffee break in Yarmouth, it was back on the RIBs to practice boat manoeuvres in the confined waters of Yarmouth Harbour.

Then it was time to head back to Christchurch for lunch, with some ‘man-overboard’ drills thrown in on the way.
